Complexity has been argued to limit operational efficiency, hinder decision-making and induce disruption in supply chain networks. The main aim of this paper is investigate the architectural trade-off between complexity modularity modular assembly Towards this, an information-entropic model developed applied domain chains logistics. This approach characterises as a combination intrinsic system modules/interfaces influence topological composition network. then used within optimisation framework, where optimal granularity level for design solutions given product can be automatically verified by considering network modularity. It concluded that proposed methodology could help minimise configurations while maximising their thereby increase both reliability performance
